As a mother of two children I cannot afford to be unemployed; to be without a job would be a disaster for myself and my children. But all jobs advertised in the paper require some skills - and that’s the problem. Most of us from previously disadvantaged background could barely reach matric, and the possibility of any further education normally was not there at all.
But wait a moment! - here came Nan Hua Academy in Bronkhorstspruit, where they offer all their courses in computer skills free of charge. This is the only Computer Academy that is dedicated to address some of the problems facing people like me.
Nan Hua Academy gave me an opportunity to study computer skills for free and to get my certificate, which enables me to get a job at Toll-gate as a toll collector. It is only computer knowledge that was required for this job, and I had one.
Thank you Nan Hua Academy for all you have done for me and others like me. I have been referring a lot of other people to come and register at Nan Hua Academy, so that they can get a chance as I did, in order to change their life too.
